The NDT Cadet Academy by Testia, an Airbus company has expanded into the Asia-Pacific region with a new training facility in Malaysia, developed in partnership with Composites Technology Research Malaysia (CTRM). This milestone brings world-class Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) training closer to a fast-growing aerospace hub. The 6-8 month program combines courses, exams and on-the-job training into one pathway directly to Level 2 qualification. Trainees gain practical experience on real aircraft components in workshops, hangars and production facilities, ensuring they are industry-ready from day one. Since its foundation in Germany in 2021, the NDT Cadet Academy has trained several batches of inspectors who have pursued careers in NDT inspection, engineering and product development. With the new APAC branch, Testia and CTRM are strengthening local expertise, supporting manufacturing and maintenance operations, and contributing to the long-term growth of the regional aerospace sector.
