Batam Aero Technic widens collaboration with FTAI Aviation

Batam Aero Technic (BAT) has strengthened its collaboration with FTAI Aviation and Vortex Aviation to support in-situ CFM56 module replacements. BAT provides advanced facilities for LPT and fan booster replacements, enabling two engines to be serviced simultaneously. Recently, SpiceJet’s 737-900ER (VT-SLC) was flown to BAT, where Vortex and FTAI completed the module swap and test flight within two weeks. Located in Batam, Indonesia, BAT is a top-tier MRO provider with 23 maintenance lines supporting B737, A330, A320, and ATR fleets. BAT holds certifications from DGCA Indonesia, FAA USA, and several ASEAN aviation authorities. FTAI Aviation simplifies CFM56 and V2500 engine work with fast, cost-effective, and environmentally conscious solutions. This partnership highlights BAT’s position as a key MRO hub, combining infrastructure, skilled talent, and strategic collaboration to meet rising aviation maintenance demands efficiently.
